Financier denies fleecing this diplomat

A financier has denied fleecing a Commonwealth diplomat and her daughter out of more than £1.3m. Maurice Kelly, 62, allegedly swindled £1.1m from Jamaican activist Patsy Robertson, who died from heart failure aged 86 on August 25 last year. Ms Robertson served as Director of Information for the Commonwealth Secretariat and Official Spokesperson for the Commonwealth between 1983 and 1994.
