Former officer denies concealing crates of ‘axe murder’ evidence

  A senior police officer involved in the botch investigation into the axe murder of a private eye today (Mon) angrily denied concealing crate loads of evidence from the suspects’ defence barristers. Daniel Morgan, a partner in Southern Investigations, was found an axe buried in his head in the carpark of the Golden Lion pub in Sydenham, southeast London, in 1987.
