Former soldier ‘fought against ISIS with Kurds’
A former British Army soldier accused of funding terrorism after fighting against ISIS with Kurdish militia forces in Syria has appeared in court. Daniel Burke, 32, joined the Kurdish YPG independence movement before allegedly trying to help fellow recruit Daniel Newey, 27, return to Syria to re-enter the war.
