Former Tory parliamentary aide cleared of spying for China
A former Tory parliamentary aide and a teacher were cleared of passing secrets to China after the prosecution offered no evidence today (mon). Chris Cash, 30, and Christopher Berry, 33, were charged with giving ‘articles, notes, documents or information’ to a foreign state under the Official Secrets Act 1911. Cash is a former director of an influential China policy group with links to security minister Tom Tugendhat and foreign affairs committee chairman Alicia Kearns.
