Four month trial delay for Russell Brand

Russell Brand’s trial has been delayed by four months due to the ‘numerous’ abuse allegations he faces. The 50-year-old comedian and actor faces three counts of rape, three of sexual assault and one of indecent assault against six women from 1999 to 2009. Brand was facing trial at Southwark Crown Court on 12 June but Mr Justice Joel Bennathan KC put his trial back until 12 October today.
