Great-grandfather was killed by 32 tonne recycling truck

A lorry driver who ran over a great-grandfather standing in his blind spot has walked free from court. Retired electrical engineer Peter Matthew, 89, died after he was hit by the 32 tonne recycling truck in West Wickham, south London, at around 7:20am on 20 September 2022.
