Habiba Naveed ‘killed her landlord – then stabbed his cat to death’

A woman accused of killing her elderly landlord and his pet cat has been remanded in custody. Habiba Naveed, 34, battered Christopher Brown, 72, to death at the home they shared in Polsted Road, Lewisham. Police were called to the address in the early hours of 15 August and Mr Brown’s body was found. A post-mortem found the cause of death to be blunt force trauma.
