Handyman charged with mallet murder of his girlfriend 14 year ago

A handyman who left his ex-girlfriend with brain damage after he beat her over the head with a rubber mallet 14 years ago has appeared in court accused of her murder. Trevor Baker, 52, assaulted Carolyn Kemp, then 35, on Walmer Close, Romford, in November 2009. Baker was jailed after he admitting attempted murder at the Old Bailey in 2010.
