Handyman ran over and killed pensioner

A handyman who ran over and killed an elderly pedestrian has admitted causing death by careless driving. Muhammadh Ahlaaq Afdhel, 27, collided with 78-year-old Albert Aspinall in East Ham, east London on May 1, 2022. Mr Aspinall was taken to hospital and died from his injuries three days later. Afdhel was driving his Peugeot MPV between 18 and 20mph when he collided with Mr Aspinall. He admitted causing death by careless driving when he appeared at the Old Bailey today…
