‘Hate preacher’ to stand trial

An Islamic leader accused of glorifying Islamic State in his sermons will stand trial on September 11. Kamran Sabir Hussain, 39, faces eight terror-related offences in connection with his work at a mosque in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent. According to charges Hussain addressed a meeting at the mosque to ‘encourage support for a proscribed organisation, namely Islamic State’. He is also alleged to have given sermons to a congregation which could have encouraged them to ‘commit, prepare or instigate acts of terrorism’…
