An underworld armourer who turned into his bedroom into a gun workshop has been jailed for five years. Alireza Nowbakht, 50, converted blank firing pistols into lethal firearms from his home in Smethwick in the West Midlands Armed officers from the National Crime Agency’s Armed Operations Unit raided his house in Mallin Stree on 22 December last year.
