Hotel guests feared terror attack after gas explosion

The owner and operator of a luxury hotel has been fined total of £76,000 after a gas explosion put its staff and guests in danger. Around 500 guests had to be evacuated after the blast ripped through the five-star Hyatt Regency Hotel – The Churchill in central London, prompting fears of a terror attack in November 2014. Bricks and even a secure door were blown from the side of the building when pressure built up in an eroded gas pipe….
