‘Insider dealing’ in the packaging industry

An executive has appeared in court charged with insider trading at one of Europe’s largest suppliers of plastic packaging. Stuart Bayes, 55, allegedly traded in information about British Polythene Industries, also known as RPC Group PLC, between 2 May and 10 June 2016. Bayes is said to have made more than £130,000 based on insider knowledge, Westminster Magistrates’ heard. The entrepreneur allegedly disclosed financial information about RPC with Jonathan Swann.
