Jail for driver who ploughed into hero cop

A Mercedes driver who ploughed into a ‘hero’ police officer as he made a getaway was jailed for almost 12 years today (mon). Pc Lewis Crowder was trying to arrest Aydin Altun, 26, when he ‘gunned forward at speed’ in Tottenham, north London on 29 October last year.
