Fag smugglers’ plot goes up in smoke

Three Lithuanian men who smuggled millions of illegal cigarettes have been jailed for a total of four years and nine months. Andrej Jerofejev, 53, Vilmantas Simaitis, 48, and Martynas Nazaras, 38, were caught with 8.5 million smokes on their headquarters at Lincoln farm. The tobacco was concealed in window frames and laundry bags and worth £2.8 million in evaded duty.
