Juror gets suspended sentence for researching the word ‘intention’
An accountant who researched the word ‘intention’ while he was a juror on a murder trial has escaped jail after he claimed the hot courtroom affected his judgement. Sadiq Leon, 42, showed other jurors his notes on the definition of the word in July 2021 at Inner London crown court and they reported him to the judge. Leon was discharged but the trial continued.
