Lecturer denies kid sex chats

A King’s College lecturer has denied trying to chat up a child over the internet. Neuroscientist Ricky Patel, 26, is accused of sending sexually explicit messages to a child on the 11 July. The supposed youngster, who went by the name ‘Olivia’, was in fact an undercover policed officer, according to prosecutor Andrew Frymann.
