Left to bleed to death on the doorstep

An alleged murderer left his victim bleeding to death on a doorstep, a court heard. Kenneth Pitcher, 51, is accused of stabbing 60-year-old John Kennett outside a home in Woodcroft Road, Thornton Heath on December 23 last year. Kennett was found suffering from knife wounds at 9.30pm and died 20 minutes later despite the best efforts of police and paramedics who raced to the scene to try and save him.
