A former Tory Party election agent who pocketed the £9,000 raised for the bereaved son of a former councillor has been spared jail. Alexander Shayler, 33, helped set up a GoFundMe page for Anton Roche, the son of Leila Roy, a popular former Conservative councillor for Camden, who died aged 39 from a heart condition in February 2021.
