A homeless Lithuanian who battered his best friend to death and threw his body in a river was jailed for at least 18 years today (FRI). Saulius Urbanavicius, 25, attacked his fellow countryman Viadas Sakalauskas, 21, as he dozed in a sleeping bag under a flyover bridge in east London.
