Met officer ‘attacked woman he met through his police duties’

A former Met Police officer who was based in the force’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command appeared in court charged with raping a woman he met through his job. Mark Tyrrell, 55, faces two counts of rape, 11 of sexual assault and four of sexual assault by penetration.
