Nurse nicked cash from patient

A nurse has been struck off for stealing more than £300 from a patient who had been undergoing emergency surgery. Marie McDowell transferred a total of £304 from the man’s bank account into her rental account on 8 December 2015. The patient was recovering from emergency surgery at the University Hospital Southampton Trust, where McDowell was employed as a nurse.
