Nurse paid fines with ‘vulnerable’ patient’s card

A nurse who used a bed bound patient’s debit card to pay her shoplifting fine has has been thrown out of the profession. Lisa Devlin, 47, stole the cash from the ‘extremely vulnerable’ woman she was supposed to be caring for and bought alcohol, cigarettes and petrol for herself, the Nursing and Midwifery Council heard. She used her victim’s money on shopping trips in Wales, where Devlin regularly visited her boyfriend, and even used the card to pay a fine…
