Oil exec faces jail over Iraq bribes
An oil executive who bribed an Iraqi official to secure to win a £650m oil deal in the war-ravaged country is facing jail. Executives at Monaco-based oil company Unaoil hoped to secure highly lucrative contracts in Iraq after the overthrow of dictator Saddam Hussein in April 2003. Sales manager at Dutch-based energy firm, SBM, Paul Bond, 68, conspired with three Unaoil executives to help them win the massive oil deal.
