Opera designer admits killing his girlfriend

A Royal Opera House designer has admitted beating his girlfriend to death with a metal bar. Roderick Deakin-White, 37, appeared at the Old Bailey accused of murdering 35-year-old Amy Parsons. Australian Miss Parsons was discovered by police at the fifth-floor flat she shared with her fiancé in Whitechapel, east London, and was pronounced dead at the scene.
