Pet pooch ‘slain by neighbour’

A knifeman brutally stabbed his neighbour’s dog to death while he was out, a court heard. Terry Augar, 64, is alleged to have broken into Karl Newman’s flat and stabbed the dog three times in Catford, southeast London, on Saturday 8 August. The dog was found in a pool of blood in the communal area by its traumatised owner when he returned home.
