Pigeon sacrifice trial is a dead duck

A mentally ill man accused of beheading a pigeon is being held in a psychiatric unit, a court heard. Celsio Rodrigues De Jesus, 44, stabbed the bird repeatedly and cut off its head in front of shocked members of the public in Vauxhall Bridge Road, Pimlico, on 10 December, it was said.
