Police officer ‘closed criminal cases prematurely’

A Met Police officer accused of prematurely closing criminal cases and falsifying records appeared in court today (tues). PC Anil Celebi, 26, was charged with seven counts of misconduct following an investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC). They alleged that he failed to properly investigate and progress criminal cases and made false statements on official police documents within the Crime Report Investigation System (CRIS).
