Preacher in court for hate crimes

A preacher has appeared in court accused of giving sermons encouraging support for Islamic State. Kamran Sabir Hussain, 39, faces eight terror-related offences in connection with his work at a mosque in Tunstall, Stoke-on-Trent. He appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court in a grey prison-issue tracksuit wearing wire-rimmed spectacles and spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address.
