A con artist involved in one of UK’s first ‘covid bounce-back’ loan scams has been jailed for fleecing victims out of £674,000 in a romance fraud. Adesola Adebayo, 38, along with flatmate James Olagbaiye, 47, were part of a gang based in the UK and Nigerian which scammed multiple victims across the globe.
