Roofer Alfie Arrowsmith gets 16 months for shouting at police and pushing against cordon

A roofer who shouted ‘Come on then, let’s have it,’ at the police during the Whitehall protest has been jailed for sixteen months. Alfie Arrowsmith, 28, pushed against a police cordon when the demonstration opposite Downing Street became violent on 31 July and bttles and missiles were thrown at the police. Police had told the 700 protesters that the demonstration would have to end at 8:30pm and they would have to remain on the pavement of Richmond Terrace opposite Downing Street….
