Savoy burglar spared jail

A burglar who broke into two of London’s most famous landmarks in a bid to fund his gambling addiction was spared jail today (FRI). Alexie Rudenko, 28, first stole a £580 projector from the five star Savoy hotel on London’s The Strand on April 27 this year. He then popped down the road to the historic building Somerset House, home of the Courtauld Gallery.
