Schoolboy ‘researched festival as terror target’

A 15-year-old schoolboy accused of researching the Isle of Wight Festival as a potential terror attack target appeared at the Old Bailey today (thurs). The teenager, from Cowes, was arrested by officers from Counter Terrorism Policing South East with help from Hampshire Constabulary last month. The boy, who cannot be named, is charged with preparation of terrorist acts under Section 5 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
