Murder suspect remanded in custody

An alleged killer appeared in court today (thurs) charged with stabbing a man to death last weekend. Christopher Baptiste, 53, is accused of murdering 36-year-old Sonny Booty in Loampit Vale, Lewisham, southeast London, on 13 August. Officers attended a residential property alongside London Ambulance Service the next morning but Mr Booty was pronounced dead at the scene.
