Suspect faces trial for boy’s murder in park

A man accused of battering a five year-old boy to death in a park will stand trial for murder in July. Marvin Iheanacho, 38, allegedly attacked victim Alex Malcolm in Mountsfield Park in Catford, southeast London, on the evening of 20 November last year. The boy was rushed to hospital from his home in Bromley a few hours later at around 8.30pm. He died of head injuries in hospital on 22 November.
