Suspect faces trial over pensioner murder

An alleged killer accused of smothering a pensioner, torching his flat and fleeing to Italy appeared at the Old Bailey today (mon). Jason Marshall, 28, is accused of murdering 68-year-old Peter Fasoli on Rubens Road, Northolt, west London, in 2013. Marshall flew to Italy three days later, and was only returned to the UK last week under a European arrest warrant.
