Tory MP accused of club assaults says he was just ‘animated and having fun’

A Tory MP denied assaulting two women at London’s Groucho Club and wept in court as his wife described him as ‘compassionate.’ Married father-of-two Patrick Spencer, 38, has described his behaviour as ‘not appropriate in this day and age’ but said it was not his intention to touch the women inappropriately.
