Whistleblower inquest starts again in the New Year
The inquest into the death of a Russian whistleblower who helped uncover a £150m money laundering operation involving senior Kremlin officials will return to the Old Bailey in January. Speculation has been rife since Alexander Perepilichnyy collapsed and died while jogging near his £3m St George’s Hill estate in Weybridge, Surrey, on 10 November 2012. Perepilichnyy’s life insurance firm Legal and General (L&G) have suggested the 44-year-old may have been poisoned by a deadly vegetable planted in his sorrel soup….
