Woman ‘beaten to death at church entrance’

A woman was beaten as she lay in her sleeping bag at a church entrance, the Old Bailey heard. Kieran Rifat, 21, is accused of murdering Kelly Stewart in the grounds of the Memorial Community Church, in Barking Road, Plaistow, east London, on March 26.
