Wrongly convicted postmaster sent his mother to India in shame

A postmaster wrongfully convicted of false accounting sent his mother to India so she would not see him go to prison for six months, a court heard today. (Fri) Parmod Kalia, a former Orpington postmaster, hid his theft conviction from his family for twenty years, only telling his sister about the nightmare yesterday.
