‘I’m guilty!’ shouts accused cop stabber

A knifeman accused of trying to murder a brave policewoman shouted: ‘I’m guilty, I’m guilty, I’m not mental,’ when he appeared at the Old Bailey. PC Natalie Markham was only saved from serious injury by her anti-stab vest after she chased Julian Peters, 35, in Clapham, southwest London. Peters, who appeared in court via a video link from Belmarsh Prison, is shortly to be moved to a medium secure psychiatric unit and the case was adjourned for mental health reports….
