Legal history made as camera films Old Bailey hearing

English legal history was made today (Weds) as a television camera was allowed into an Old Bailey court hearing for the first time. The judge’s sentencing remarks of Muhidin Mire, 30, will be filmed as part of a three-month pilot project that could pave way for live coverage in Crown Courts. Mire is facing a possible life sentence for attempted murder after trying to behead musician Lyle Zimmerman in Leytonstone Tube station,in revenge for the bombing of ISIS in Syria….
