A shortsighted banker caused a grandmother’s death when he was distracted by his Sat Nav and vibrating mobile phone, a court heard. Adebowale Adeyemi, 38, got out to inspect his vehicle before driving off, leaving Rosemary ‘Cissy’ Howlett lying dying in the road. The JP Morgan auditor had no driving licence or insurance when he drove straight into a traffic island in Barking, Essex. Adeyemi had cataracts and his ‘retinal degeneration’ was such that he should not have been driving….
