80-year-old ‘smuggled £150,000 worth of crystal meth’

A German pensioner smuggled more than £150,000 worth of crystal meth into the UK inside a bag of chocolate truffles, a court heard. Heinz Magel, 80, was arrested after landing at Heathrow Airport on Monday (21) on a flight from Mexico City. His suitcase was searched by Border Force officials who found 3.4kg of the class A drug inside Elvan chocolate wrappers in his suitcase, it was said.
