A pretty teenager sobbed today Monday as she told the Old
Bailey how a youth she met minutes before burst into her flat,
shoved her on a bed and raped her.
The 17-year-old advertising agency worker claimed Wayne Thomas,
18, boasted of his time in jail before launching his humiliating
sex attack.
Seconds after her painful ordeal ended, Thomas pulled out a
knife and ordered her to hand over her television, video, stereo
and cash, it was alleged.
Jobless Thomas, from Acton, admits the robbery but denies
rape.
At first he denied ever having sex, but when faced with a
wealth of damning forensic evidence, he claimed she had fully
consented.
The teenager told the jury the first time she laid eyes on
Thomas was on October 4 last year when he was with two friends
who arrived on the doorstep of her Brentford flat.
He suddenly erupted in violence when she threatened to call
the police because of the noise they were making outside, she
said.
‘Wayne (Thomas) went mad.
He just flipped.
‘I went to close the door and he pushed past me.
‘He was very angry and violent.
He pushed me against the wall
then pulled me into the bedroom.
‘He started the conversation by saying he had been in prison
before.
‘He closed the curtains then closed the door.
‘
She broke down in uncontrollable sobs as she described how he
forced her on to the bed, laid on top of her and shoved his hand
down her top.
One of her other friends then knocked on the door and she
tried to summon help by mouthing: ‘Help me, help me’ from behind
Thomas, the jury heard.
‘He didn’t see me.
Wayne got rid of him, shut the door again
and pushed me on the bed.
‘It was obvious what he wanted.
‘
She was left aching and sobbing by the rape ordeal.
‘He told me to get some bin liners.
He made me pack some
things.
‘After I’d been raped, I just wanted to get him out of the
house.
‘
Thomas called a minicab, saying that ‘his girlfriend wanted
to move house’.
He then left with the stereo, television, video
and some cash.
Prosecutor Mr Dorian Lovell-Pank said Thomas initially denied
having sex until faced with a mountain of forensic evidence.
‘The issue is going to be whether she consented or not.
‘The fact that she had never met him before and didn’t know
him from Adam is something you’ll have to consider.
‘Once he finished the sexual side, he helped himself to
anything worth having and then left.
‘You will have to consider whether that arrogant, high-handed
and cruel behaviour immediately following sex, shows if she was
consenting or not.
‘
The trial, expected to finish late this week, continues.
