Mr Mike Wicksteed,
Chief Press Officer
Selbourne House
54/60 Victoria Street
SW1E

Dear Mr Wicksteed,

Thank-you for your reply to our fax of this afternoon.

We are grateful for your help in this matter.

My News Editor described the situation as ‘another Lord Chancellor’s Department fuck up’ once only during the telephone conversation with Jane Bransby.

There was no question of any swearing directly at her and if I suspected he had been ‘swearing profusely’ I would have to reconsider his employment with this agency.

In these circumstances, I feel the allegations made by Ms Bransby are inaccurate.

I would also venture to suggest it is hardly surprising that my member of staff lost his temper given the error and the appalling attitude of this person when the mistake was challenged.

Ms Brandsby told us and another agency we would not be able to attend the trial, which was both inaccurate and provocative in the extreme.

As with most businesses, we do have an answerphone, so perhaps your staff could leave a message next time.

Yours sincerely,

Scott Wilford

Editor
