HASSAN: CABBIE DENIES RAPE

A former cabbie today (Thurs) denied raping a woman more than 15 years ago following a cold case review.

Mustafa Hassan is said to have attacked his victim, now 44, on September 24, 1995, while working as a taxi driver in London.

Appearing before the Old Bailey via video-link from Wandsworth prison, the 67-year-old denied a single count of rape.

Hassan, of (170) Mangold Way, Erith, Kent, was remanded in custody pending a five-day trial, due to start on November 28.
