Trial for man accused of glorifying ISIS beheadings

A Danish man accused of sharing gruesome ISIS execution videos online with his UK based uncle will stand trial in May.

Noamaan Ejaz, 21, allegedly had 10 of the shocking videos showing prisoners being put to death in brutal ways stashed in his lap top.

Ejaz, a British national who has lived in Denmark since the age of two, visited the UK at least once a year to visit his grandparents or for summer internships.

Every time he entered the UK he would ‘cleanse’ his mobile phone of incriminating videos and images, the Old Bailey heard.

The videos were only found when officers from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command analysed his computer.

He appeared at the Old Bailey today (Thurs) via video link from prison charged with 10 counts of distribution or circulation of a terrorist publication between 25 October 2015 and 8 December 2015.

Listing the case for trial on 2 May, Mr Justice Holroyde said: ‘Arrangements have been made for your trial next year, in the meantime you are remanded in custody.’

Ejaz, who had been staying with family in Buckleigh Road, Streatham, is due back in court on 6 March for a pleas and case management hearing.
