Tome raider has the book thrown at him

A tome raider who helped himself to thousands of pounds worth of books was jailed for more than three years. Carl Thurston, 38, was on licence following a spate of burglaries when he started pilfering the shelves of Waterstones. Thurston had been handed a community order for break-ins at homes and hospitals in 2014.
