Lawyer shoved MP

A parliamentary lawyer who claims he was attacked by an engineer outside a Westminster bar was once disciplined for shoving an MP and calling him a ‘f***king idiot’, a court heard. Ronald Freeman, 57, allegedly assaulted Peter Brooksbank, who helps MPs scrutinise legislation, outside the Sports and Social Bar in the Commons grounds last December 5.
